POWER TRANSISTORS

Westinghouse spent a lot promoting this answer to the Power Transistor challenge with ads in all the major electronics magazines.  But again, their marketing decisions seemed to work against them.  Sales must have been slow as few of these exist today.  Possibly they also felt the inherent power limitations of germanium did not suit their larger needs in the vast industrial world where they were very dominate and so seemingly left this field of output devices to others.  (See ad below from April 1956 Electronics magazine).
