TRANSITRON 1950s/60s GERMANIUM AND SILICON

POWER TRANSISTORS   

 

Again, not having any RETMA registered devices, in late 1957 Transitron second-sourced with T.I. for their "2N389" and "2N424" silicon Power Transistors.  Additionally, as they had been doing for some time, Transitron had their own numbered silicon output device called the "ST400", rated at 80 watts of dissipation.  The ad below, from March of 1958, shows these types listed.
