A Transistor Museum Interview with Joe D’Airo

Transistor History at Trans-Aire Electronics Inc

Discovering the Many Brand Names of Trans-Aire Radios

One of the most interesting aspects of this historic company is the use of many different brand names for Trans-Aire designed and manufactured radios throughout the 1950s and 1960s.  Joe D’Airo has provided much useful information on this topic, based on his personal involvement with Trans-Aire.  In addition, due to the large number of vintage radios now available through Ebay, hamfests and flea markets, it is likely that many of the previously undocumented Trans-Aire radio brands will become available for modern collectors and historians.  As more of these classic radios are identified and the information made available to the Transistor Museum, this Trans-Aire Radio Photo Gallery will be updated.  Check back often!
